Pocket system

2 hand pockets + 2 chest pockets. All pockets feature waterproof zips. 2 zipped pockets on the inner jacket.

Removable padded jacket

The inner padded jacket is easy and quick to remove, thanks to a zip system. It can be worn alone and has 2 hand pockets, as well as a secure inside pocket.

3-in-1 concept for adapting to every situation

With its “3-in-1” system, the jacket is ideal for cold conditions (down to -10°C) as well as hot weather trips, as you can leave the inner layer at home, taking only the rain coat. You can also wear the inner fleece on its own as a mid-layer over a T-shirt. With just one jacket, you therefore get 3 options!

Sizing information

Standard cut. Inner volume lets you wear a second technical layer underneath, such as a microfleece top.

COMPONENT WATERPROOFING OF THIS JACKET

The waterproofness of a fabric, provided by a coating or membrane, is measured in Schmerbers or mm H2O (pressure exerted by a column of water). The higher this number, the more waterproof the fabric.

Adjustment

The hood is adjustable in height and depth thanks to an elastic drawcord. The storm-type hood is very enveloping and equipped with a preformed visor for maximum face protection. The bottom of the jacket is adjustable thanks to an elastic cord. The cuffs are adjustable using the rip-tabs.

Water often gets in through the seams. Does my jacket have waterproof seams?

Your jacket is waterproof thanks to its fully-taped seams. Waterproof tape is added to the seams inside the garment to make them watertight so that water cannot enter through the more vulnerable areas.

WATERPROOFNESS OF THIS JACKET

A jacket's waterproof properties are not derived solely from its components: the technique used to assemble the different pieces is also an evaluation criterion. Whether it's thermo-sealed or sewn and then taped, the overall waterproofness of your jacket is assessed in a shower test, developed by Decathlon, which simulates downpours of varying intensities. We know, therefore, that this TRAVEL 500 waterproof jacket will protect you from a storm i.e. 30 cm of rain in 3 hours.

This jacket allows you to face variable climates and temperatures down to -10°C thanks to its removable padded jacket. It is compressible so you’ll forget you’re wearing it on your adventures!
